Learn the basics of millefiori polymer clay, where you make a fancy log design that will reveal the same pattern with every slice. (Think sushi or jellyroll cake!) You’ll learn the spiral, the bullseye, and the striped cane, and use them to make three kinds of beads or buttons: round, bicone, and disk.
About the Teaching Artist:
Laura Burlis is a Minneapolis artist who has worked with polymer clay for eight years. She's developed her own style of using the clay like a solid paint, but also enjoys experimenting with all the exploding number of techniques for this versatile medium. Laura has volunteered with courageous heARTS as an after school apprentice since September 2016.
Fees support local artists and courageous heARTS' mission to co-create experiences with young people by offering them a safe space, built with the intention to heal and empower through expressive arts, community building, and leadership development.
