Conflict Resolution - A Formula For Teams
Northrup Grumman Engineering Department Manager
Past District 5 Governor
Division E is proud to present engineer, educational speaker, and Past District 5 Governor, Charley Patton. Charley has developed a simple formula for dealing with conflict that has been time proven in both Toastmasters and real life work situations. As Charley says, if an engineer who's more comfortable with numbers and computers than people can do this, anyone can!
Since serving as District Governor in 2009-2010, Charley has stayed active in his clubs by serving as various officers; at the district level by chairing the District 5 Distinguished Club Program committee, chairing the District 5 Past District Governor Advisory Council, serving for two years on the Founder's District Past District Governor Advisory Committee, and serving as a mentor to the District 52 Governor; and at the region level by delivering educational presentations and keynote addresses.
Charley’s background is in software engineering, he is now a practicing systems engineer by trade, and has completed a 3-year rotation as an engineering department manager. He’s been employed by various defense contractors in the San Diego area his whole career, and is currently a proud employee of Northrop Grumman where he currently serves in an integrated team leadership position while performing various systems engineering and program planning and execution tasks.
Charley is a life-long learner. That's one reason he’s so attracted to Toastmasters.
