Description

Divine Rest: A Return to Awareness

Saturday, September 8 from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

“We need to rest in awakened attention - in the truth of each moment as it is arising”

-Rabbi Jeff Roth

As part of our exploration of unique and different ways to celebrate the holidays, Rodef Reads offers this opportunity to experience Elul.

Shabbat is an invitation for respite each week. Through light movement, sound, and guided deep relaxation, let us return to the deepest part of our self. As preparations begin for the coming year on this special Shabbat, give yourself the gift of an hour to connect with the divine beauty within. With the close of Elul on the horizon, our month of reflection and introspection comes to a close. We culminate by coming together as community.

By clarifying our intentions for Rosh Hashanah in a state of physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual tranquility, we can observe and encourage ourselves to enter a more natural state of joy. Insights are formed with ease and healing can occur.

Twenty minutes of light movement and breathing followed by a 45-minute guided relaxation assist us with unlocking the meaning of our hearts. Bring a mat and a light covering. This session is accessible to everyone and is appropriate for those age 15 and older.
