DIVERSITY & INCLUSION: WHAT EVERY MANAGER NEEDS TO KNOW

(Choose one date: offered second Monday in the third month of each quarter: 3/8, 6/14, 9/13 & 12/13)

  • Are you a manager who things you are too busy to bother with diversity?
  • Do you say, "I just treat everyone the same" and believe you are doing the right thing?
  • Have you had negative feedback from employees who perceive you to be unfair or disrespectful?
  • Are you simply curious about how to turn diversity in the workforce into a strategic advantage?

This session is full of information you need to know to be a supervisor or manager who not only understands the importance of diversity but has the ability to turn diversity into inclusion.

  • specific examples of ways to demonstrate commitment to diversity and inclusion
  • a review of common mistakes managers make that send the wrong message
  • tips for responding to inappropriate comments or sensitive situations
