Diversity in Wine Leadership Forum x Change Cadet presents the Do The Work workshop series.
About this event
For over a year the conversation around race, equity, and justice has been at the forefront. With the rise of hate crimes against AAPI communities and the upcoming one-year anniversary of George Floyd’s murder, it is important that we continue this conversation in the wine industry.
In response to the need for growth and change, we are offering the Do The Work series with Dr. Akilah Cadet. This series of workshops is specifically for leaders working on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging initiatives in the wine industry, who want to do the work of becoming accomplices and learn how to integrate anti-racism work into every aspect of their personal and professional lives.
Over the course of three, ninety-minute workshops: Power and Privilege, Becoming an Accomplice, and The Anti-Racism Journey, you will learn, unlearn and make commitments that can lead to meaningful change. These interactive workshops via Zoom will use breakout groups to enhance discussion and build community. Suggested for leaders working on DEI initiatives, organizations, and committees within the wine industry.
This Do the Work series is sponsored by the Diversity in Wine Leadership Forum in collaboration with Dr. Akilah Cadet.
