Join students and educators for a day of engagement, learning, networking, and planning for our own development and our school's efforts in diversity and inclusion. http://www.aocdmv.org/diversity-in-the-dmv-conference.html
The conference program will run from 9am-3pm, with lunch included for students and adults. Check-in will open at 8:30am with a continental breakfast. Students will go through an experiential program aimed at various elements of diversity and identity, connecting with their own narratives and learning from their peers in other schools.
Adult educators will also experience a day-long program that will mirror the student work, but in an adult space, facilitated by members of the faculty for the National Diversity Practitioners Institute (www.diversitypractitioners.org). The day for adults will be a chance to experience activities and also exchange ideas and resources.
*There is a limit of 35 students per school. There is no limit on the number of adults per school.
**Registration fee of $55 applies to students and adults, and includes continental breakfast and lunch for student and adult participants.
