Event description
An intra-program student community forum, discussing "Living Your Authentic Self", served with a diverse selection of non-alcoholic drinks!

About this Event

Come listen and/or share your experiences about "Living Your Authentic Self". With discussion topics to start-up conversations, the goal of the event is to establish a community space, where students can be curious and connect over topics in diversity, equity, and inclusion. To facilitate an environment of safe learning, we ask that attendees abide the following Community Agreements.

Community Agreements

  • Listen actively. Seek mutual understanding (not necessarily agreement).
  • Speak for yourself (e.g. not for others).
  • Use "I" statements (e.g. "I heard you say this, and think you mean this..." and not "You said this, so...").
  • Share air-space. Step Up, Step Back.
  • My normal may not be your normal (is's ok to just actively listen)
  • Be open to feedback, ask clarifying questions.
  • Expect and accept non-closure.
  • Be aware of your feelings and thoughts. Stay present to your experience.
  • Be curious!

Thank you MBAA members from the Evening and Full-time MBAA for sponsoring this diversity, equity, and inclusive event with your membership dues.
