Volition has a history of titles that feature inclusive mechanics and a diverse array of characters. Elizabeth Zelle will discuss this history, and specifically how inclusivity and diversity in games can improve the player experience, grounded in a psychological perspective.
Elizabeth Zelle is a user researcher at Deep-Silver Volition, where she conducts playtests, player research, analysis, and reporting on a wide variety of Deep Silver titles.
One of the most senior researchers at Volition, her expertise spans multiple genres and research paradigms. Previously a marine biologist, Zelle enjoys applying traditional research methods to players to help developers get better insight into their audiences.
Getting To The Venue
Though street parking is available at metered locations along the street, most visitors to Columbia's South Loop campus park their cars in paid lots located along Wabash Avenue between Congress Parkway and Roosevelt Road (600 South to 1200 South). Daily rates start at about $8. There is also a large lot across street from 916 S Wabash and a decent lower cost lot at the southeast corner of 9th and State.
If you are not driving, the Red Line/Green Line stops at Roosevelt and is short walk.
