Description
Diversity camp 2016 is set! This innovative camp will be hosted in partnership with the Pleasanton Unified School District and Blue Oaks Church at the Amador Valley High School's Multipurpose room for middle school students on July 28th -21st. Space is limited and scholarships for need-based Students are available, thanks in part to the Clorox Company and the City of Pleasanton.

This program will introduce students to cultural diversity through performing and visual arts which includes African dance, African drumming, and crafts. Exposure to different cultures and cultural enrichment fosters a greater understanding and appreciation of other members in the community and helps enable diversity awareness, which allows our youth to become more responsible and respectful citizens. Cheza Nami Foundation will provide an artistic platform through global education of African art and culture to educate and enlighten the lives of the children in the Tri-Valley.

Dates:July 18th-July 21st 1PM-4PM
Location: Amador Valley High School Multi Purpose Room.
Grades: 6th, 7th & 8th
Cost: $175 (need based scholarships for Tri-Valley residents are available)
