Event description

Description

Windmist Farm owner and winner of the 2019 Edible Rhody Local Hero Award for Farmer/ Farm, Martha Neale, will discuss the importance of diversified livestock farming, or the production of a variety of livestock products. Marketing will also be a key component of the workshop discussion, as labels, packaging and distributing are valuable in selling your products. Come learn how to run a successful livestock business and develop marketable products that fit the community's needs from an enthusiastic farmer who's been in the business since the 1960s.

Windmist Farm is a beautiful farm located in Jamestown that is known for its spectacular bridge views and grass-fed meat. The farm contains a variety of products, including flowers, beef cattle, sheep, poultry and pigs. The farm believes in providing the community with a healthy and safe source of food. All meat purchased from the farm is naturally raised on grass, which means that there are no added growth hormones or unnecessary antibiotics found within the product.
