Event description

Description

Please join the University of Montana's DiverseU program and SALAM (Standing Alongside America's Muslims) for an evening of food, community, dialogue, and learning. This partnership is bringing speaker Ann Holmes Redding to the Missoula community, to elevate the issue and misinformation around the Islam religion and Muslims in America. Ann is a former Episcopal priest who was defrocked for having become Muslim and has spent years addressing issues of interfaith, peace, race and gender. Ann will also be offering a two-hour workshop the following day, November 2nd, 10-12 pm.

DiverseU (November 1st and 2nd) is a campus-wide series of events focused on topics of diversity, and many workshops will be offered over the two days. More information and the workshop schedule can be viewed at http://www.umt.edu/diverseu/

This is a free community event but food and space will be limited, so please RSVP by Friday, October 20th.

Questions about the banquet can be directed to salammissoula@gmail.com
