About this event
Please join us on Monday, January 30, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00pm for District Places featuring the Pediatric Innovation District at Children's National Resarch & Innovation Campus. This in-person event is hosted by FC2 Trustee Dr. Kurt Newman, President and CEO of Children's National Hospital.
During this behind-the-scenes tour, participants will be led on a walking tour of the Research & Innovation Campus. On a nearly 12-acre portion of the former historic Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Northwest D.C., Children's National has combined its strengths with those of public and private partners, including industry, universities, federal agencies, start-up companies and academic medical centers. They will share insights about how they have created an ecosystem that nurtures innovation from discovery to commercialization.
This tour is designed to be intimate and is limited to the first 25 Trustees who sign up.
District Places is a new FC2 event series where Trustees give in-person tours to other Trustees, showcasing exciting and illuminating sites in our city.
