4. We Love All God’s Children: A Clearer Vision for the Local Church

Presenter: Rev. Jill Daniel, Director, We Love All God’s Children

Still wondering exactly what this Conference-wide initiative entails? Asking how your church could get involved, even if there are no children in your congregation? Learn more regarding this amazing opportunity to change the trajectory of the lives of the children in your community!

5. Ministry Opportunities for Laity

Presenters: Sue Lyle, FUMC Brookshire

Jerry Massey, District Lay Leader

Jobby Johnson, District Director of Lay Servant Ministries

Learn about various ministries available for laity who are feeling called to do more in their congregations and beyond.

6. Youth Ministry: Faith & Self-Love

Presenters: Marissa Moschetta, LMSW, Faith Community Advisor

Maria Brockie, Lead Counselor, Baines Middle School

As faith leaders in the church and community we are called to not only recognize, but respond and resource our youth and parents in how to experience God’s love and purpose for their lives and thus love themselves. Not doing so has the potential to lead to many forms of self-destruction including substance abuse and unhealthy behaviors. So, how do we as a Christian community equip ourselves to respond?

Session 2 Workshop Descriptions:

Presenter: Rev. Tony Vinson, District Superintendent

You will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the purpose of the SPRC, the responsibilities of the committee, and the importance of pastoral assessments.

2. Trustees
