Description

Assessment in Instruction- Rituals and Routines

Goal: Participants will gain strategies for utilizing checks for understanding within a lesson.

  •  Overview of the year-long work and project
  •  Determine what student agency looks like and how it connects to the Danielson Framework
  •  Align a variety of checks for understanding with identified success criteria.

Structure: This session will have a whole group component and a grade band break-out component. Participants will have an opportunity to share artifacts with each other and  support each other in learning from the experiences and artifacts shared.

Intended Audience: Principal designee-one per school- it is recommended that the same person attends all the sessions and be responsible for leveraging the content and experiences of the sessions to build capacity within the school. This person should ideally be a coach, or instructional lead and should work with the professional development committee.

Accountability: Participants are expected to maintain a folder/binder of related resources and artifacts. Please take your curriculum materials with you to all sessions
