District 2 Early Childhood Training & Resource Fair

Welcome to the second annual “EARLY CHILDHOOD TRAINING & RESOURCE FAIR” offered by Councilwoman Ivy R.Taylor, your District 2 City Council Representative, in partnership with Voices for Children of San Antonio, Family Service Association, Intercultural Development Research Association, San Antonio Association for the Education of Young Children and St. Philip’s College/Early Childhood and Family Studies Program.
Our youngest children hold our greatest hope for the future, depending on us as their adult caregivers to
provide safety, security, and knowledgeable nurturing support. We hope this event will better prepare the
caregivers of the young children in District 2 with the knowledge and skills to provide our youngest community
members with appropriate developmental opportunities that will help them grow and mature into successful
students and productive adults.

Voices for Children of San Antonio
Voices for Children of San Antonio is a research and advocacy organization committed to making young children’s issues a priority in the San Antonio community. Established in 1996 as a Vision for Children, the founding Board was comprised of providers of children’s services, as well as business, foundation and academic representatives, all advocates whose mission was, and is, to improve the quality of life for children in our community to make San Antonio the best city in the nation to be a child.
