We will embark on a full-day learning experience to deepen understanding of CCSS Standards for Mathematical Practice and prepare for quality implementation of instructional routines to develop these practices. Grace Kelemanik & Amy Lucenta will provide educators with the knowledge and strategies they need to ensure that their students develop as mathematical thinkers. We will engage in full group learning as well as focused grade-level and concurrent grade-band sessions.
GOALS: Participants will...
ü Learn three avenues of mathematical thinking articulated in the CCSS Standards for Mathematical Practice
ü Learn an instructional routine designed to develop mathematical thinking in all students
ü Learn how to plan to enact the routine with grade-appropriate content
ü Leave ready to enact the instructional routine with students
CCCOE is sponsoring a portion of the cost of this event.
We encourage teams to attend to support collaboration and implementation.
