Azizah Ali is the Business Development Director for Public Sector under the One Commercial Partner organization in Microsoft Asia Pacific. Her responsibilities include working with the government to realize and achieve its digital transformation vision, while helping its organizations ensure that they have the trust, security, and compliance required within their organizations

Leveraging on Microsoft’s intelligent cloud innovation Azizah plays a crucial role in Microsoft to strengthen the government’s cybersecurity solutions, improve its services, and reinvent productivity and business processes within its operations. To achieve this, she works closely with an ecosystem of government service partners experts that will assist to enable the government to expand their services and achieve more for the citizens that they serve.

A 20-year industry veteran, Azizah began her career at Microsoft as the Director of Public Sector Group Director, Microsoft Malaysia in 1997. She led the business for 12 years and was involved in key initiatives namely the eGovernment project with the Government of Malaysia helping it to optimize and re-invest in its competencies development.

Azizah then moved on as the Country Manager for Microsoft Brunei. During her 4-year tenure in Brunei, she led the collaboration between the Brunei Government and Microsoft to establish the Brunei Software Development Centre as the catalyst to drive Government Operational efficiency via the adoption of new applications. At the same time, she also worked with the Government on technology standardization to increase Civil Service productivity and competency development while building the partner ecosystems to support the Brunei market.

Prior to the current role, Azizah was the Director for Small, Mid-Market Solutions and Partner Group in Microsoft Malaysia. In this role she drove transformation and growth acceleration of SMEs leveraging on the cloud ecosystem. This was in alignment with the national agenda to increase the GDP contribution from SMEs as well as to accelerate the nation’s Digital Economy.

To reinforce her commitment towards the growth acceleration of the SME ecosystem in Malaysia, Azizah has authored several articles including https://news.microsoft.com/en-my/2017/05/26/innovating-smes-current-digital-landscape/ covering driving transformation with Malaysian SME organizations.

Azizah holds an MBA from Aston University, UK; a BSc. In Business Administration from Washington University, USA; and a Diploma in Business Administration from State University of New York at Buffalo/ Institut Teknologi MARA.
