Course Description:

Training is a distinct activity from the other functions/roles that clinicians engage in. This training is designed to help professionals learn to communicate clinically relevant information to others in an effective and engaging fashion.

NOTE: Please bring a computer with PowerPoint installed on it for the activity!

Goals:

  • Gain an understanding of key elements to effective training
  • Learn how to develop training goals/objectives
  • Gain a basic understanding of creating PowerPoint presentations and using basic training equipment

Objectives:

  • Participants will be able to describe the key elements to effective training
  • Participants will be able to develop at least one appropriate goal/objective for a training
  • Participants will be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of using PowerPoint
