DIXON (transmoderna)

Few artists walk the line between past and future as well as Dixon. As a DJ, he cuts a striking figure behind decks, rising from Berlin beginnings among the original pioneers of electronic music. Over a career, he has evolved his sound into something visionary, running renowned record label Innervisions with Frank Wiedemann and Kristian Rädle of Ȃme. His ear for the perfect mix eventually brought down Resident Advisor’s Top DJs Poll, after taking out first place for its last four years running. However, Dixon’s ambition has driven a calling into wider fields of fashion and technology, expanding what it means to be a contemporary innovator.

Mad Dog Jones (Michah Dowbak)

Michah Dowbak aka Mad Dog Jones is a multidisciplinary artist from Thunder Bay, Ontario, where he still resides. His works deftly interweave cyberpunk, dystopian imagery exploring themes of beauty, nature and technology. As a lover of the wilderness, which was ever present where he grew up, he brings a fresh thematic to the metropolitan aesthetic, done up in citrus and neon tones of technology somehow rendered as a space naturally human. Dowbak rose to fame in the world of crypto art with the recent success of his Crash + Burn series of NFT artworks, and he is now a headliner in the first major NFT art exhibition at UCCA Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing.

Gillian Howard - (Digital Art Fair)

Gillian is the founder and Fair Director of Digital Art Fair. Founded Digital Art Fair in2020, with the vision to advance art and culture through the use of technology. Prior to founding Digital Art Fair, Gillian is accomplished in fine galleries and museum management, she has managed private museum collections and international galleries in Hong Kong and London and consulted art institutions and international organisations on activating art & culture. Studied Global Art Business with the Sotheby's Institute of Art in London, with an extensive knowledge of digital art, she is now leading the Digital Art Fair Asia team and curators on creating a brand new art experience combining art and technology such as NFT & blockchain, 3D mapping, VR and AR.

Sunny Cheung-

Currently Curator at M+ who features some of the world’s foremost collections of twentieth- and twenty-first-century visual culture, M+ Museum.

M+ is touted as Asia’s first global museum of contemporary visual culture and one of the largest modern and contemporary museums in the world.

Awethentic Group Presents a Variety of Exciting Art & Music Events for Art Week 2023

From March 23 to 25, 2023, Awethentic Group will be hosting a variety of workshops, panels, and exhibitions at the Soho House, offering attendees a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of art, technology, and wellness.

The events kick off on Thursday, March 22, with a Artful Yoga workshop hosted by celebrity yoga instructor, Rosemary Vandenbroucke and Alex Lam. The workshop promises to provide a serene start to the day, allowing attendees to recharge their mind and body with a calming yoga flow and breathwork session.

On Thursday evening, Awethentic Studio will host the Disruption: Web3 x Music x Art panel, which will explore the future of art in Hong Kong. The panellists will include some of the most innovative voices in the art world, including award-winning DJ Dixon, Mad Dog Jones, Sunny Cheung (M+), and Gillian Howard, hosted by Sean Lee Davies.

The closing party for Art Week 2023 will take place on Friday evening, featuring some of Hong Kong's best DJs, including Julie J, Subez, MENGZY, Uptown Rockers.
