Event description

Description

Join Center for Science and Culture (CSC) Senior Fellows Jonathan Wells and John West for an afternoon in Hollywood to see Disinherit the Wind, a landmark new stage play that explodes the usual stereotypes about the debate over evolution. The play tells the story of a renowned neurobiologist with New Age sympathies who sues a prominent university for the right to challenge neo-Darwinian evolution. His argument: neo-Darwinian materialist thought has become a dogmatic orthodoxy that stifles free thought. This special performance will include a post-play discussion featuring CSC biologist Jonathan Wells, author of Icons of Evolution and the forthcoming Zombie Science; CSC Associate Director John West, author of Darwin Day in America; and actor and playwright Matt Chait.

Tickets are only $20, which represents a 20% discount off of the regular rate. Space is limited, so register now!

Note to Parents: The play contains some profanity, and it focuses on pretty high-level intellectual debates, so it probably isn’t appropriate for young children.
