Event description

Description

An evening of conversation with Ronald Rael of Rael San Fratello and Emerging Objects discussing border walls, 3D printing, and how design emerges from material politics, place and process. He is an applied architectural researcher, design activist, author, and thought leader in the fields of additive manufacturing and earthen architecture. Rael will be in discussion with Patricio del Real, Assistant Professor of History of Art and Architecture at Harvard University and co-curator of the exhibition Latin America in Construction: Architecture 1955-1980 at the Museum of Modern Art.

Several works from Emerging Objects are on view now in The Senses: Design Beyond Vision. The exhibition will be open for viewing prior to the lecture at 6pm.
