Event description

Description

Student autonomy in Inquiry-based Learning (IBL) is a controversial issue from Early Childhood Education to Year 12 SACE Research Project and IB Extended Essay, and through to undergraduate and Masters. There are tensions evident in terms of the amount of stucture and guidance perceived by educators and researchers to be effective for student IBL, from maximum guidance to maximum student autonomy. This event is an interactive session which provides an opportunity for colleages involved in teacher preparation programs in four SA institutions to come together to discuss perspectives, insights and practical approaches for this issue.
