  • 8:30 a.m.: Check-in, Breakfast
  • 9:00 a.m.: Exploring Biodiversity on the Urban Island
  • 9:30 a.m.: How-to iNaturalist Demonstration
  • 10:00 a.m.: Balboa Park Biodiversity Investigations
  • 10:40 a.m.: Field Trip Opportunities
  • 11:00 a.m.: Showing of Island of Lemurs: Madagascar
  • 12:00 p.m.: Self-guided Museum Exploration





Bus Voucher Availability

Trips to Cabrillo National Monument:

All K-12 teachers from Title 1 schools who attend this workshop are eligible for bus funding provided by the National Park Foundation to participate in a Cabrillo National Monument Field Trip. Reservations can be made for anytime during the school year, but must be requested before September 30, 2017 to maintain eligibility.
