Discover Your Power to Help Keep Your Heart Healthy & Prevent Heart Disease
Event Information
About this Event
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States. About 655,000 Americans die from heart disease each year—that’s 1 in every 4 deaths, and about one person dies every 36 seconds. Many people believe that heart disease is inevitable because of their family history or is a normal part of getting older. However, there is very good news! many studies have shown that we have the power to help prevent, and in some cases reverse, heart disease with healthy plant-rich foods and other lifestyle factors.
Join us to hear Dr. Koushik Reddy, a cardiologist, to learn how healthy lifestyle choices such as plant-based nutrition, exercise, adequate sleep, and stress reduction can help to prevent, and in some cases, reverse even serious heart disease.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask Dr. Reddy questions during the live event.
Dr. Reddy is the Director of Interventional Cardiology at the James A. Haley VA (Veterans Administration) Medical Center in Tampa, FL. Dr. Reddy practices and teaches classes centered around Whole Foods Plant-Based nutrition to prevent, treat and reverse heart disease and other common chronic diseases in the U.S. He is also a founder of Plant-Based Lifestyle Movement (PBLM), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing information and resources to help people successfully adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Registrants will receive a link to the online zoom event and the Password with your confirmation email.
