Description

Whether you are a touring cyclist or aspire to be, are seeking an alternative to riding cross-country or enjoy discovering regional and local greenways and trails, the 3,000-mile East Coast Greenway can be the route for you.

Come to this free informational event to learn about this route of mostly multi-use trails and quiet roads that connects major cities from the Canadian border in Maine to Key West in Florida. Find out about organized group rides, including four one-day rides planned by the East Coast Greenway's New York State committee as well as a week-long fully supported tour in the fall.
Rather explore on your own? Get tips on some of the most scenic routes close to New York City and how to reach them without a car. Learn about improvements and extensions to trails all along the Eastern Seaboard and how Amtrak is making it easier to take your bike on the train. The East Coast Greenway includes a number of trails in the New York area, including the spectacular Hudson River Greenway and the surprising Bronx River Greenway in New York as well as parts of the 84-mile Farmington Canal Heritage Trail in Connecticut and about 35 miles of the Delaware & Raritan Canal Trail in New Jersey.

Whether you’re interested in a one-day excursion or a multi-day adventure, the East Coast Greenway has it all.

Refreshments will be provided.

All are welcome, but space is limited. Registration is recommended.
