Event description

Description

What is happening in Milwaukee around technology? We don't always have the opportunity to share what is happening within the technology community around Milwaukee. Northwestern Mutual and UMOS TechHire are opening up discussions around technology, opportunities, and resources for interested learners to begin.

This is why Northwestern Mutual is hosting "Discover Tech in Milwaukee South" event at UMOS' state of the art TechHire location on Chase Avenue on September 20th at 5:30 pm, FREE to the public.

We know there are AMAZING technology opportunities in Milwaukee!! Every week we meet with companies breaking the Midwest mold and developers and engineers who are changing the tech game right here in your backyard.

At Discover Tech in Milwaukee South, we hope to open the discussion and introduce people and organization to what is happening locally around technology. This is the first of what we hope to be many tech events to happen outside of downtown Milwaukee in an effort to bring tech discussions to more communities.

Agenda:

5:30 Doors Open (Registration)

FREE Food and Drink provided by Northwestern Mutual

7:15 Q&A

Meet our speakers!

Daniel Andrade

I’m a 15-year tech professional who is currently a product manager and analyst for Northwestern Mutual’s client identity team. I started tinkering with computers in my elementary school years and the passion for playing with new tech hasn’t stopped since. I’m super passionate to get others involved in tech! As part of my journey to help advocate tech, I recently participated in a 7-week coding boot camp. That experience will help me as I start to actively get involved in learning to code programs that help introduce coding to our inner-city youth.
