About this event
Whether they're cute and cuddly, or slimy and scaly, pets are so much fun!
If you hope to have a pet someday, you can learn how to choose the pet that's right for you--and make sure it stays happy and healthy. Or, if you already have a pet at home, you can learn how to take the best care of your pet - or even how to be a friend to the pets of others!
About This Event:
At this sample troop meeting we'll explore cool pet inventions, make a pet toy, and come up with ideas for making our communities more pet friendly. Staff will also discuss our program, it's benefits, and the many ways your family can get involved. This event is for families with children in grades K-5 who are interested in trying an activity before committing to joining. We hope you can join us!
If you are unable to attend but interested in learning more, please complete the brief form at https://mygs.girlscouts.org/request-more-info, and a council staff member will be in touch.
Developing an app? Building a community garden? Advocating for a cause you’re passionate about? Yup, there's a badge for that.
This sample troop meeting is adapted from activities towards earning the Daisy (K -1) "STEM Career Exploration" Badge, Brownie (2 - 3) "Pets" Badge, and Junior (4 - 5) "Business Jumpstart" Badge.
To view a full list of the badges and Journey awards that Girl Scouts can earn, including badge requirements, visit girlscouts.org/badgeexplorer. You can filter your results by grade level and topic, and you can also select awards and badges for a customized PDF download.
