Event description

Description

Hanoi is brimming with vibrant culture and history, and its inhabitants tend to be a bit older and more relaxed in comparison to the bustling city of Saigon. The vibe is considerably different, however, there are enough things to see and do to keep even the most avid of traveler busy. Visitors can start their experience in the morning and end in the evening should they choose and have the energy to do so. This is one of the most customizable tours out there, as the entire itinerary depends on your preferences in addition to the local insider’s recommendations. Consider yourself a foodie? Love to sightsee? Need a getaway from the lively city? We can create the perfect tour for you. You can also choose to partake in a number of extra activities, including an in-home cooking class, cycling session, or simply zip around the city center on a motorbike.

Here are a few of the most popular destinations that we recommend you include in your itinerary if you aren't sure where to start.

TEMPLE OF LITERATURE

Created in 1070 by Emperor Ly Thanh Tong, it was originally the Temple of Confucius and hosted Vietnam's first national university. The place is famous for its architecture and the stelae that were carved with names of the most exceptional scholars of the past. Nowadays, local people usually go the temple to pray for academic and work achievements. It is still a symbol to honor outstanding students and encourage study.

HO CHI MINH MAUSOLEUM

The mausoleum is the resting place of Ho Chi Minh, the national celebrated leader, where his body is embalmed and preserved. It is protected by the military honor guard and opened for visitors from all around the world. It means that you can see his body too! At 5am, you can watch the guards exchange shift, a ceremony that a lot of local people enjoy.

MUSEUM OF ETHNOLOGY

The museum is the largest and probably most visited museum in the city. Its exhibition is very interesting and informative, which displays the culture and everyday life of the 54 officially recognized ethnic minorities in Vietnam. You will also find the traditional games and activities such as the water puppets.

OLD QUARTER

Needless to say, this is among the top visited places in Hanoi on anyone's list. Here you will find French architectured houses, tiny alleys, and lots of interesting local stories. Although the place is usually flooded with tourists, with our local insider you will be able to find hidden corners and enjoy some authentic traditional dishes.

Sample Itinerary

Below is a sample itinerary that we have created that you can reference for a few ideas when creating your own. Creating your own itinerary really depends on your preferences and the local insiders’ recommendations, meaning you can personalise the trip 100%.
