About this event
Disc golf is the perfect solution for youth to learn, share and enjoy a lifetime sport. It's a healthy, inexpensive, recreational activity that provides upper and lower body conditioning, aerobic exercise and mental stimulation.
Currituck County 4-H is creating a new club for youth ages 8-14. If your child likes being outdoors and has a desire to learn more about the sport of disc golf, join us September 3rd, 2021 from 2pm-4:30pm for our first club meeting. We will provide all the equipment, provide an overview of disc golf and have experienced disc golf players on hand to share tips and techniques.
All meetings will be held at the Currituck County Rural Center in Powells Point on the newly designed 18 hole disc golf course. Currently we have scheduled additional practice sessions on October 8th, November 5th and December 10th from 2pm - 4:30pm.
Registration is not complete until you register your child in the 4-H online system. The link to do that is: https://v2.4honline.com/#/user/sign-in .
This class will be held outside, in the event we have to meet inside masks will be required without exception. If you do not have a mask one will be provided.
