Event description
This episode will highlight the ways that major disasters may affect our pets.

About this event

Nov 13th at 10am Campbell CERT’s Hamann Park team will address “Disaster Response and Our Pets” in the fifth and final installment of our online-based 2021 30-minute P.E.P. Bites miniseries. Many of us tend to view our pets as an integral part of the family unit, so it makes sense to go over strategies to make sure your pet is as ready as you are in the event of a major disaster.

This episode will highlight the ways that major disasters may affect pets, special considerations that arise when evacuating or trying to find temporary lodging with a pet, and the resources available specifically for these situations. We will also touch on some basic first aid skills for common pet injuries.

Our format for these P.E.P. Bites on Zoom is 30 minutes of presentation followed by 10 minutes of optional Q&A. At the conclusion of the meet-up a debrief page will be sent out to all registered participants with a bullet point summary of what we went over and links to resources we discussed. Recordings of all P.E.P. Bites can be found at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCB2ezshachct7TH-yPuJZIQ/videos

We look forward to seeing you at 10am on Saturday, Nov 13th for the final online P.E.P. Bite of the year!
