Join us in December for a holiday social to meet other entrepreneurs with disabilities in the area, get inspired, and build your startup!
DECEMBER'S FOCUS: A Pitch Competition
This month, we’ll take everthing we have learned this year and allow aspiring disabled entrepreneurs to pitch their startup ideas.
If you have a new venture getting off the ground or an idea whose time has come, this is your chance. Or if you someone who does, pass the word! The contest focuses on developing specific skills and brings together a network of resources, including mentorship from venture capitalists, serial entrepreneurs, corporate executives and legal experts.
The payoff: Every contestant will receive feedback from our panel of judges. And the winner will walk away with $200 and advisory and development support from a customized team of Disability Startup experts.
The location: The workspaces of 1776, a global incubator and seed fund helping startups transform industries. The folks at 1776 know that startups can change the world and they’re building a global community to provide the intellectual, social, and financial capital to help them make that a reality. Their address is 1133 15th S. NW, 12th Floor, Washington DC 20005.
Registration: Free. RSVP and send an email if you are also pitching (see below).
