Description

Make certain your voice is heard! Disability Advocacy Day is designed to connect you with your legislators so you can talk about issues that matter to you. You are the expert in sharing how legislative policies affect people with disabilities in their everyday lives.Registration is due by March 10, 2017 (closes at 5:00 pm CST).

PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW AND SELECT "REGISTER" WHEN YOU'RE READY TO START.

Note: you will need to select a lunch option to start the process - this can include the "bring lunch from home" option. Only select the caregiver registration option if you are proving care for someone at this event. Otherwise register yourself as a participant.

If purchasing a lunch you must pay when registering. This is through PayPal so you will have options to use a credit or bank debit card, as well as a direct withdrawal from your checking account.

Survival Coalition sponsors a required briefing that will start at 10:30am at the Monona Terrace. This briefing will help you to be ready for your legislator visit. Each group then has time to plan for their visit with their legislator, eat lunch together (cost is $12.00 per person) and then proceed to the State Capitol for a 12:30 pm rally followed by visits with legislators.

Please note that Survival Coalition will schedule your legislative visit. Your visit will be with others from your district. In order to have accurate scheduling - you must use your home address on the registration form. Survival will share this with your legislators, but will not release this information to any other parties.

Note: You can bring your own lunch from home - but carry-in food purchased from other locations is not permitted. Because of timing it is important to plan to eat with the group at the Monona Terrace location.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

People attending are responsible for their own transportation and parking. There is a public parking ramp associated with the Monona Terrace. For directions and details, here is the website: https://www.mononaterrace.com/directions_and_parking/

Tickets are non-refundable, but you can request to transfer your ticket to another person by contacting Fil Clissa at survivalcoalitionwi@gmail.com.
