You may only enter the festival during the event gate / box office hours. You are free to leave at any time, but you will only be able to return during box office hours. Wristband pickup and festival admittance to the event will not be permitted outside of gate hours! The gate & box office hours will be posted closer to the event. Doors open to the public on Friday October 6, 2017.
I'm coming from out of town. What airport do I fly to?
The event is easily accessible from LAX and John Wayne Airport. If you’re flying to LAX we have buses available to take you to the event.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking will be available at the venue separate from the campgrounds. If you want to camp with your car (by bringing your car in the campground), you must purchase a Car Camping Pass above. In addition, there are Camp Bus tickets available for purchase ($60+ fee) offering roundtrip transportation from LAX to the event.

What's a Single Occupancy Parking fee?

Are there ins and outs at the festival?
You may leave the festival at any time, but if you leave after the gates are closed you will not be able to return until the next morning when the gates are open again. Check the website for the gate hours.

What kind of activities will we be having?
Dirtybird Campout is a full summer camp experience. In addition to great music and dancing we'll be hosting a Dirtybird BBQ, a comedy stage, a talent show, late night movies, plus all of the summer camp activities you would expect including tug of war, boat races, potato sack races, water balloon toss, scavenger hunts, archery, arts & crafts, storytelling and much more!
Can I bring a camper or RV? Is there any additional cost?
Yes, you can bring an RV or camper to the campout with the purchase of an additional RV Camping Pass (available as a separate ticket purchase above). There are no size restrictions on RVs, but any vehicle larger than a van needs to purchase an RV Camping Pass. Any vehicles with a trailer also need to purchase an RV Camping Pass.
One RV Camping Pass is good for 1 RV. You do not need to purchase an RV Camping Pass for each person camping in the RV, but everyone (including the driver) does need to have a 3-Day Pass or Backstage Party Pass to come in with the RV.
Can I camp with my car?
You must purchase a car camping pass to allow access for your vehicle to come inside the campground for sleeping or storage purposes. Only one car camping pass is required for each vehicle, not per person arriving in/camping near that vehicle. For those wishing to drive to the event that don’t need their car in camp, a car camping pass is not required if it parks in the parking lot.
Where can I take a shower?
We will have showers in the main campground plaza available for $7 each. Don’t forget your towel!
Where can I brush my teeth?
You can brush your teeth anywhere you want. But we recommend doing it in your campsite and rinsing with a cup of water. You should brush at least twice a day and spit in a container or disposable bottle you can throw away, not on the ground!
Can I bring my own stove?
Due to the CA state drought / high fire risk, all open flame and charcoal grills are not allowed at Dirtybird Campout. Small enclosed propane stoves are ok. Passes for optional BBQs on Saturday and Sunday are available for purchase on the ticket page. There will also be several delicious food vendors to enjoy. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding!
How can I live the high life because I’m not a great camper?
Dirtybird Campout will offer pre-set up Camp Kodiak camping packages for those who want to come enjoy the campout experience but don’t have the time or energy to shop for, pack up and bring all of their own camping gear. Let us handle all the dirty work and just sit back and enjoy your stay! Camp Kodiak Package info can be found in the ticket descriptions.
What is the Google Map point for the entrance to Oak Canyon Park?
Dirtybird Campout is located halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego at beautiful Oak Canyon Park in Silverado, CA. This is the best address to enter in your phone for directions to the venue:
Orange, CA 92808
I want to get the right supplies for the weekend. What do you recommend bringing?
Depending on how you roll, camping can be simple and basic or it can be a timeless luxury experience. We recommend the following basics: tent, shade for tent, sleeping bags and blankets, camp chairs, lanterns, folding tables, trash bags, snacks and drinks, sun block, bug spray, lip balm, good walking shoes, fun lights for camp at night time, flags and other identifiable objects so you can find your camp, and anything else fun you can think of. Please see our complete list of what to bring and what not to bring HERE!
What will I be able to purchase on site?
There will be plenty of food vendors on-site to feed you throughout the weekend as well as several bars serving beer and wine. Ice will be available to keep your drinks chilled. There will also be a Camp Merch Booth selling special edition Campout Merchandise in limited quantities. Please be advised, some vendors are cash only so please come prepared! ATMs will be available on site.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
You cannot bring weapons, sound systems, charcoal or propane stoves / lanterns, and kegs or large quantities of alcohol into the event. These rules will be strictly enforced.
You can bring blankets, backpacks, toys and games to play with, lots of friends and good attitudes. Get ready to have some fun!
I left a jar of mayo in the sun all day then made a sandwich. Do you have a Medical Tent?
Yes, we will have a medical tent in the main campground plaza. If you have any issues or see someone with an issue, please don't hesitate to call on our medic staff for support. They are here to help you and happy to do it.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
There will be an info booth next to the medic tent in the main campground plaza. They will be able to help you with general questions, and if you need to contact Production they can do that as well. For questions before you arrive on-site, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll assist you via the interwebs.
Is my ticket transferable?
There are no refunds on tickets, but you can transfer them if you are unable to attend. Please contact Eventbrite support for details on how to do this.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes, you will need to bring your printed ticket to the box office at the entrance to receive your festival wristband. No one will be allowed entry without a proper festival wristband on.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
If the name on the ticket does not match the name of the attendee, that is okay. Be careful to make sure that you don't lose your ticket or have it stolen from you because if it is used before you arrive, you will have to purchase another one.
What is the refund policy?
All sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges.
What if it rains?
Dirtybird Campout is a rain or shine event, no refunds. The music, games and fun will go on! If the weather reports predict rain or if you want to be extra cautious, we recommend coming prepared with extra shoes, trash bags, raincoats, tarps, and extra stakes to secure your tent. Let’s do this!
Will there be work-exchange at this year's Campout?
Counselor in Training applications will be available soon too. To get updates, sign up for our newsletter.
Where do we throw away our trash at the end of the event?
Dirtybird Campout is a pack it in, pack it out festival. That means you DO NOT leave your trash behind when you leave, but you take it ALL with you! We recommend bringing lots of trash bags and leaving extra room in your vehicle to haul your trash away when you leave. Let's keep it beautiful, Campers!
Will there be a BBQ?
Yes! Join us at the BBQ Pit Saturday or Sunday from 11am-6pm. Meal includes choice of entree, 2 sides, cornbread and a non-alcoholic drink! We will be grilling some delicious chicken, beef, and vegetarian kabobs. Last year’s BBQ was a major hit! Don’t miss out on the best BBQ of the season! Keep an eye out for the unique programming happening at the same time on the Bunkhouse Stage.
What's a Backstage Party Pass?
The Backstage Party Pass includes everything in the 3-Day Pass, as well as a private restroom and bar backstage, one Campout BBQ meal ticket, plus access to the comfy backstage lounge area.
Will there be merch available?
Yes! We will have some special items available for pre-order when you buy your ticket, as well as exclusive Dirtybird Campout merch at the festival merch booth!
An innovative American house music label with quirky ideas, bass driven funk, and a crew of humble characters who like to have fun.
