Event description

Description

Being a director requires many skills and much knowledge of many aspects of art, storytelling, technology, leadership and filmmaking. The biggest thing it requires though is having an inspiring vision and communicating that vision to your production team of cast and crew - then ultimately to the audience.

If you are currently directly and feel you want to know more, or what to start directing and see your vision come alive on the big screen, this series will help you go to the next level.

Focusing on the importance of scriptwriting, lighting, cinematography, acting, funding, and communicating this is a very practical but also uplifting and encouraging. Each week will work on building your skill and knowledge level so you have the ability and confidence to bring your work to the next level.

We will cover your role in the five stages of filmmaking: Development, preproduction, production, post production and distribituion

If you are also taking the acting class workshop you can get a discount off this class.

The workshops will be three weeks in a row starting in May on Thursdays from 6 pm to 9pm. We will also be watching some films and doing some film studies to help you get the grammar and language of the job.

Personal coaching on your project will also be part of this process. Nadia will work with you to help you design, direct and deliver the best possible film.

Ultimately this class will give you a game plan of where you are going with your directing desires and your goals and objectives are in the process.

Email Nadia at drnadram@gmail.com or call 904 806 6345 for more information.
