Dinner Discussion with the Nile Project
Wed, March 22, 2017, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM EDT
This event is FREE, however space is limited and RSVPs are required to attend.
Join us for this networking dinner discussion with musician-activists from the Nile Project, a cultural, geo-political and environmental initiative. By fostering connections through musical collaboration and dialogue, the project raises awareness about local and Nile-related issues and equips participants with the tools and resources to become active change-makers.
The Nile Project is a nonprofit working to transform the water conflict in the Nile Basin from a hyper-political argument to a uniting conversation. Through cross-cultural musical collaborations, youth leadership development, and a network focusing on food sustainability, the Nile Project addresses the cultural and environmental challenges at the root of the Nile conflict. The project seeks to inspire, inform and empower stakeholders to collaboratively sustain their shared ecosystem and offers a blueprint for new ways to lead community change.
Presented in partnership with the Office of Sustainability and Center for Civic Engagement
As part of its 2017 US Tour, the Nile Project will be in residency at Modlin Center for the Arts March 22-24. For more information on events please visit modlin.richmond.edu.
