Event Details

Fearrington Village hosts a special dinner with chef and author Hugh Acheson on the event of the publication of his terrific cookbook just released from Clarkson Potter: A New Turn in the South. The first of McIntyre's Books' Culinary Arts and Letters Series, the dinner on Thursday, November 3 begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails in McIntyre's Bookstore (gathering in the expanded culinary books section) to meet and welcome Hugh Acheson in from Georgia. Then at 7 p.m. a four-course dinner will be served in an intimate dining room, upstairs at the Granary.
 

MENU FROM A NEW TURN IN THE SOUTH.

* Roasted Carrot & Beet Salad with Feta, Pulled Parsley & Cumin Vinaigrette
* Frogmore Stew (this is Hugh's "take on this classic seafood boil")
* Braised Quail with Leeks, Dates & Cider
* Pear & Pecan Flip Cake
* Wine pairings for first and main courses, selected by Max Kast.
 
Ticket for one $110 (price includes this extravagant and delicious 4-course dinner, two glasses of wine, tax, gratuity — and a signed copy of A New Turn in the South.
Tickets for one couple $185 (as above, with one cookbook).
