Event description

Description

Come join us at HSPH for dinner and talk with creater of GRLSQUASH, a biannual journal about the intersectionality of food, art and culture.

GRLSQUASH is a Boston-based womxn’s food, culture, and art journal. We’re a biannual publication focused on intersectionality and nourishing the mind, belly, and soul for all, but especially the underrepresented: womxn, femmes, queer, trans, gnc, and non-binary folks.

Our second issue, SELF, comes out in January 2019 and features work from over 50 contributing womxn creatives. The call for Issue Three will be go live in the spring, will be open (as always), and the theme will be TAKING ROOT — we’ll address feelings of displacement and discomfort when making a new home, how we create new home using food/cooking, what it means to take root in a place, what it means to be uprooted, farming, sustainability, and similar topics. If you’re a GRL (see above definition) we’d love to have you!"
