This month is a special holiday dinner. I will be providing the ham or turkey. Everyone else can bring an appitizer, side or dessert. Once you register with an item to bring I will post it below so others do not repeat.
The Children’s House at Johns Hopkins is part of the hospital housing program of the Believe In Tomorrow National Children’s Foundation. This facility offers affordable housing for families of pediatric patients who visit the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. Our role will be to bring, prepare and serve dinner. We will also be able to eat with the guests of the house and help them get their minds off of their daily issues. Dinner is served at 6pm so we would have to arrive at least an hour ahead to prepare our dinner. They prefer we cook our dinner in their kitchen but if you are doing dessert or something that doesn't spoil you are more than welcome to cook it and bring it. The have a full kitchen with all pots and pans needed. We need about 5-8 people for this. We will plan to feed 25 people and ourselves. Most of the families though will not be eating with us as they are at the hospital but they very much appreciate having a home cooked meal when they get back.
