About this Event
"Power Struggle" is a compelling story that gives audiences hope that grassroots activism can be effective at bringing about positive social change in the world. Director Leppzer will be speaking about the film following the screening.
Filmed over five years, this feature-length documentary portrays the heated political battle to close the Vermont Yankee nuclear power plant, located on the banks of the Connecticut River in southern Vermont. A special highlight is the involvement of Frances Crowe, a legendary activist for decades prior to hear death this summer at the age of 100.
A special fundraising dinner in Judds's will happen before the screening hosted by GatewayCityLive.org. This organization is dedicated to support local artists and cultural activities in Western Massachusetts.
