Many healthcare systems are behind the curve in making effective use of technology. But smart healthcare organizations are using technology to transform the way care is delivered and realizing considerable gains in efficiency and quality as a result. Defining a digital strategy, buying innovation and implementing it in a way that it actually delivers value is not easy for health care organizations. We would like to discuss the 7 lessons that we have identified in order to increase the chance of an effective implementation of innovation (digital health).
Along that discussion we will share some insights of our latest study on innovation in the area of dementia care. With an aging population, we will face a challenge in securing high quality of care for this vulnerable group of patients and their family. We have made an overview of several (Norwegian) innovations and the effect that we expect from it. We can discuss together how kommuner, care institutes and (start-up) companies can work together to make this happen.
