Emmy-winning filmmaker and global health advocate, Lisa Russell, who has 10+ years producing films and creative projects for UN/NGO agencies leads these monthly workshops around storytelling as a tool for organizing and protest. Geared towards artists and storytellers of all genres, global health advocates, communications specialists, students and others, these workshops deliver hands on practical skills to develop your storytelling skills, learn how to fund creative projects focused on social justice issues both globally and domestically and hear from guest speakers including UN personnel, cultural diplomats and UN/NGO communications experts who contract artists for paid work.

Digital Storytelling Workshop
Bring your own digital camera and learn basic shooting (for both video and photography) with stylistic approaches to bring life and creativity to your story. Participants will construct and storyboard a PSA and learn of ways to approach organizations to pitch projects.
