Join us for a lunchtime talk by Mathias Coeckelbergs, Ph.D. student at the Information Science Department of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). Mathias holds degrees in computer science, semitic linguistics, theology and philosophy. His research revolves around the application of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to historical texts and archives. This talk focus on highlights from his research on the application of topic modeling to the archives of the European Commission, as well as his work linking JSTOR materials to primary source texts.
