Despite what many would have you believe, learning photography really isn’t difficult. It just requires a little time with a great teacher and lots of practice – and that’s where we come in.

Our small photography classes are restricted to just 4 people and we even give you a free DSLR camera to learn with in each class. Classes are taught by David Wheater from Photography Tuition Scotland, a professional photographer recently commended in the Scottish Landscape Photography Awards 2017.

Each class lasts two and a half hours – 1 hour in the class room and the remaining hour and a half spent outside with David, practising what you’ve learned in the classroom. Over the 4 weeks, you will learn how to take full manual control of your camera and, perhaps more importantly, how to see the world with a more creative eye and appreciate the importance of light, detail and texture in your compositions.

Classes are deliberately kept small so David can spend as much time with each student as possible. While there will be technical things to learn, the emphasis of each class is on being creative with your camera and having lots of fun. The classes are kept very informal and no camera or other equipment is required. Coffee, tea and biscuits will be provided during each class.

This 4-week course is held in the meeting room of the Visitor Centre at Almondell & Calderwood Country Park. There is car parking nearby. For further information about attending this course, or buying a gift voucher, please phone David on 07400 705 357. You can also visit our website at www.photographytuitionscotland.co.uk
