Digital Parenting Workshop & PEDL Spring Launch!
Overview
Join Us for the PEDL Spring Launch!
The PEDL Spring Launch marks the official launch of the Programme to Enhance Digital Literacy (PEDL) for Spring 2026. This in-person event will bring together parents, school leaders, teachers, HSCL coordinators, community workers, and education partners to learn more about the programme and its role in supporting digital confidence and strong home–school connections.
Taking place in University College Dublin, the event will showcase PEDL’s collaborative approach and impact across school communities, with contributions from key partners and special guests Reim Consultancy.
This interactive workshop supports parents to better understand the digital lives of children and young people aged 12–17 years. Participants will gain practical, up-to-date insights into popular apps, games, and online challenges.
You will learn about:
- Popular apps and platforms used by different age groups
- Key safety and privacy features
- How to start conversations about sensitive or challenging topics
- Recognising signs of cyberbullying, excessive screen use, and online grooming
- Digital citizenship and responsible online behaviour
- Practical tools and resources to support families
What is PEDL?
PEDL is a school-based programme that supports parents to build confidence and skills in using digital tools for education. It also provides schools with structured training, ready-to-use resources, and tailored support.
