Digital Money Unconference - Toronto
Organised by Debbie Gamble, Pierre Roberge and Consult Hyperion
Sponsored by ACT Canada, The Royal Canadian Mint and MaRS Discovery District
Lunch sponsored by DonRiver
Please join us for a day of candid conversations about innovation in the digital commerce space. An invited group of senior industry thought leaders and market makers will be getting together to discuss emerging trends, technology and the rapidly changing digital transactions and payment space.
Following on from the success of the Digital Money Unconference events held in London and New York, the aim of the Toronto event will be to foster cross-sector discussions on innovation around new business models in the world of payments and digital commerce. It is organized on a participant-driven agenda leveraging the 'un-conference' format where the topics of the day are decided on the day.
“An 'unconference' is a participant-driven meeting. The term "unconference" has been applied, or self-applied, to a wide range of gatherings that try to avoid one or more aspects of a conventional conference, such as high fees, sponsored presentations, and top-down organisation. For example, in 2006, CNNMoney applied the term to diverse events including Foo Camp, BarCamp, Bloggercon, and Mashup Camp”
Lunch and refreshments will be included in the day. All surplus funds will be donated to the SickKids Foundation in Toronto http://www.sickkidsfoundation.com/home/
