Event description

Description

This East Midlands event is being hosted by Nottinghamshire County Council in collaboration with the Local Government Association.

The purpose of the workshop is to raise awareness and promote good practice from England and beyond, on how information and technology can support the delivery of health and care. The workshop will provide the first announcement of findings from the 2017 Social Care Digital Maturity Self-Assessment for the East Midlands, and will give participants an opportunity to explore innovation across the following areas:

  • Integrating services and information for children, families and adults (e.g. through shared care records)
  • Enabling people to interact with care and health services through digital channels
  • Promoting independence and wellbeing through the use of digital services and technology (e.g. assistive technology / telecare)
  • Integrating commissioning through the improved use of information and analysis (e.g. business intelligence)
  • Enabling care professionals to work from any base at any time (e.g. infrastructure)

Target Audience

The aim is for this workshop to engage with the following staff from across both social care and health. It will not be a technical workshop – but focus on strategic areas and opportunities for innovation.

  • Assistant Directors and Heads of Service from within Social Care and Health
  • Service Transformation Leads
