The Digital Initiatives Symposium focuses on the digital elements of library ecosystems and institutional repositories.

About this Event

Hosted by the University of San Diego’s Copley Library, the Digital Initiatives Symposium is an annual event featuring workshops, presentations, and keynote addresses from leaders in libraries’ digital ecosystems, including open access, institutional repositories, open educational resources, data management, digital scholarship and pedagogy, scholarly communications, linked data, digital humanities, web archiving, copyright, and more. For 2021, the DIS will be entirely virtual using the Zoom Webinar platform. We hope you can join us!

  • $50 registration covers one workshop (Monday, April 26, 2021) and full program (Tuesday-Thursday, April 27-29, 2021).
  • $40 registration covers the full program only (Tuesday-Thursday, April 27-29, 2021). 
  • $20 registration covers a workshop only (Monday, April 26, 2021). 

Note: Eventbrite charges a small processing fee in addition to the cost of registration.

Scholarship Opportunity:

If you are a librarian or archivist of color with less than five years experience in the profession you may apply for complementary registration to the full symposium. The first five applicants will be awarded this scholarship. To apply email Jasmin de Unamuno at jasmind@sandiego.edu.
