The on-ice sessions will be focussed on skill development and high tempo game situations following the USA Hockey ADM model of player development.
Off-ice, we seek to educate young girls about women's issues, leadership, antibullying, how to interact with coaches, how to be a good teammate ,and bystander leadership, as well as how to navigate the college search process (for the high school aged girls).
Digit Murphy - Current head coach and GM of the Boston Blades women's pro hockey team in the CWHL. Coach Murphy coached at the NCAA Division I level for 24 years and became the winningest coach ever during her tenure at Brown University. She has been a longtime advocate for women and women's issues.
Nicole Stock - Current Head Coach of Choate Rosemary Hall Girls Hockey. Coach Stock has 4 years of NCAA goaltending experience at the Division I level as she was an ALL League Goaltender at Brown. Stcok broke numerous records at Brown for goaltending and brings a wealth of knowledge about women's hockey from both a high school and college perspective.
Jessica Koizumi -Jessica is a current member of the Boston Blades women’s hockey team and is in her fourth year as an assistant coach with Yale University. Jessica played her college hockey at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, leading UMD to the NCAA Frozen Four championship game in 2007 as a captain. On the international stage, Jessica won a gold medal as a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team at the 2008 IIHF World Women’s Championships, a silver medal at the 2007 Four Nations Cup, and has participated in many USA Hockey camps and festivals as well as being a member of the USA Women’s Inline Hockey team.
Jessica’s coaching experience prior to joining Yale includes numerous USA Hockey National Girls’ Hockey festivals and several assistant coaching positions at the high school level in addition to serving as a graduate assistant coach for UND in 2007. Jessica founded Tsunami Performance Zone Hockey Camp in 2005.
This summer we will be offering a variety of Girls Hockey Summer Camp Opportunites. Dates are added when camps are open for registration, check back often!
Digit Murphy Hockey Camps will provide more than your typical hockey camp experience. Along with providing a fun, highly competitive and challenging learning environment on the ice, our camps will teach important life skills off the ice.
