We are already living in the aftermath of the digital revolution, and the pace of change is accelerating.
We want to equip the voluntary and community and social enterprise sector to keep pace with change. As part of Get online week we're hosting a Digi-skills swap event to give staff and volunteers in organisations space to hone their digital skills, in a low-key, no-pressure setting.
Our first informal digi-skills swap brings together 'digi-files' and 'digi-phobes' to learn and share practical tips for promoting your services online. We'll kick off with a brief introduction and leave plenty of room to discuss your queries around social media tools, such as Facebook and Twitter, and comms tool Lewisham.interests.me with more experienced digital experts on hand, including Kate White from leading ICT and digital support charity Superhighways.
Please bring your devices (mobiles, laptops, tablets etc) and your passwords.
Who is this event for?
This event is ideal for staff and/or volunteers responsible for managing their organisation's social media, email or online presence who are looking to raise their digital skills and try out new things.
Please fill in the order form and give us an idea of where you're at and your interests in to help us plan.
Please note: This is not a workshop, but is a practical, hands-on, informal exchange session.
