About the Book
In this delightful and entirely true tale, the author travels in a canoe along the Amazon River in Peru to look for caiman with her Spanish-speaking guides. She encounters a giant spider, is delighted by a pink dolphin, and bathes with snakes in the river. She even eats a tree for lunch. When she hears a scream in the night, she is forced to face her deepest fears. She discovers who or what woke her up late at night and decides that the jungle is perhaps not so scary after all.
The entire tale is told in English and Spanish, and the illustrations by the author are ready for coloring.
